TrakToDo Privacy Policy
Last updated: November 7, 2026
TrakToDo is a local-first task, schedule, focus, widget, and Apple Watch app. This policy explains what information the public release of TrakToDo uses and how it is handled.
Information TrakToDo Stores
TrakToDo stores the tasks, projects, schedule details, focus sessions, reflections, reminders, and app preferences that you create inside the app. This data is stored locally on your devices and in the app group container used by the iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch app, widgets, and Live Activities.
Places, shared links, and meeting links
When you search for a place, TrakToDo uses Apple Maps to find matches. If you allow location access, your approximate search area helps find nearby results. Selecting a place saves its name, address when available, and coordinates with that task. On iPhone and iPad, optional Pro location reminders use the iOS notification service to detect arrival or departure. You can turn the reminder off or remove the place in the task editor.
When you share text or a link to TrakToDo, the app saves the content you choose. A meeting link you add to a schedule block is stored with that block. Opening a link takes you to the destination service. Saved places and links can sync with your task data if you enable iCloud Sync.
Optional iCloud Sync
If you turn on iCloud Sync, TrakToDo stores your task data in your private iCloud database so it can stay up to date across your Apple devices. You own this data, it counts against your iCloud storage, and it is not visible to the developer through the CloudKit developer console. TrakToDo does not require a separate account.
Calendar and Reminders
If you choose to connect Apple Calendar or Apple Reminders, TrakToDo uses those permissions to create, update, import, or display task-related items. Calendar and Reminders access is optional. TrakToDo does not sell or share your Calendar or Reminders data.
Widgets, Watch, Live Activities, Siri, and Spotlight
TrakToDo may share task snapshots with its widgets, Apple Watch app, Live Activities, Siri/App Shortcuts, and Spotlight so those Apple system features can show your tasks, schedule, and focus status.
Live Activity Background Updates
When you use Live Activities, TrakToDo sends relevant task titles, identifiers, planned times, and Apple push tokens to our Cloudflare-hosted service. The service uses Apple Push Notification service to update an activity or start a queued activity while your iPhone is locked. This information is used for app functionality, not advertising or analytics.
An individual activity lasts up to eight hours. Its content and update token are removed when it finishes, is cancelled, or expires. If delivery fails, the service may retain them for approximately one additional hour while retrying.
Automatic starts also send a queue of upcoming schedule windows and a push-to-start token. The service accepts windows starting up to seven days ahead, each lasting less than eight hours. Queue content and the token are cleared after all queued starts have been delivered or their windows expire, or when the app sends an empty queue after you disable automatic starts. Delivery identifiers and revision numbers may remain for up to eight more days to prevent duplicate or out-of-order starts; these records do not include task titles or push tokens. Service interruptions may delay cleanup.
Changes made while offline, including turning automatic starts off, reach the service when the app reconnects. You can manage schedule and focus Live Activity settings in Notifications & Live Activities, and task-specific Live Activity options in the task editor.
Purchases
Apple processes TrakToDo Pro purchases. The app uses StoreKit transaction and entitlement information to check access and restore purchases. TrakToDo does not receive your card or bank details and does not send purchase transactions to a developer-operated purchase server.
No Tracking
TrakToDo does not track you across apps or websites, does not sell personal information, and does not use third-party advertising SDKs.
Optional Request Imports
If you configure a request service, TrakToDo downloads form submissions from that service, including the request title, details, requester information, and deadlines. Imported requests are stored as tasks and can sync through your private iCloud database. The app sends the service only the request identifiers needed to acknowledge imported or dismissed requests; it does not upload your task library through this connection. The service URL and automatic checking controls are available in Request Imports. Credentials are stored in the device Keychain.
Form submissions remain subject to the form provider and configured service's storage policies. Turning off automatic imports or disconnecting the service does not delete submissions already held there; contact the service administrator to remove those records. Full-library development Worker sync remains disabled in public builds.
Diagnostics
If TrakToDo crashes, Apple may provide crash diagnostics through App Store Connect depending on your device settings. Those diagnostics are used only to improve app stability.
Data Deletion
You can delete tasks and projects inside TrakToDo and use Data & Backups to manage local data. Removing the app deletes locally stored app data. If iCloud Sync is enabled, synced data may remain in your private iCloud storage and on your other devices until you delete it there or remove the app’s iCloud data in Apple Settings. Items created in Apple Calendar or Apple Reminders may need to be deleted from those Apple apps if they were synced there.
